Water shoes?

We are planning on just hanging out on the beach at this island. Will we need water shoes to go into the water?

We are thinking about going to Jack's Shack........or Margaritaville....water shoes needed????

The sand at Grand Turk is VERY loose, expect to sink to your ankles, expect to get a lot of sand in them. There are some rocky/coral areas in the water (easily seen), but do you need them??????. I would encourage water shoes regardless. They are good on the ship around the pool area, and once you go ashore you will have to wear something on your feet, why not go with water shoes? If you decide you don't want them on, you can always take them off.
