There are usually two "permanent" captains per ship, and they alternate with each other, around every 10 weeks. Only one is on board at a time.

You're going to have Kjetil Gjerstad. The second captain listed is on vacation. that's why the first captain has his start date listed so people can count out 10 weeks to see when the other captain is due back.

When you say started rotation does that mean they are on or off the ship? I'm trying to to see who will be the captain on navigator in nov and for the Christmas cruise? Capt Aris or captain frank? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

As shown below, Captain Frank started his rotation (Master in Charge) on 4/19/15 and will be on board for 10 weeks unless he and Captain Aris have made other arrangements. Captain Aris is currently on vacation.

Found out that Capt Tor is working a longer rotation this time, he signs off July 19, so no, you will not have Capt Tor.

Thanks. If I counted correctly I will just miss Capt Aris in November, I'll be on 11/10/15 and he would be getting on when we get off. But he will be on for our Christmas sailing. I wish I could have him for both, he is so nice and personable. Maybe he will jump on alittle early since our sailing will be the first one out of Port Everglades. Fingers crossed!!!
