city and beach day in Mallorca via bus

I heard there was a bus stop right outside the port terminal. Is it only for the HoHo bus? Can you take a bus from there to the beach near S'Arnel or to the Cathedral? We probably want to see the Cathedral first and then go to the beach a little later. We are in port from 7-4. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Any other means of transportation?

No, keep walking just past the HoHos and there's a city bus. Don't be a sucker and buy the expensive cruise transfer either...

The "#1 AIRPORT" bus comes every 15 mins, costs €1.25 (the maps and everything say €2.00 but we were only charged 1.25; maybe because we didn't go all the way to the airport?). It loops around the downtown area and heads to the airport

The beaches at Palma Nova are on the 104/105/106 or express 107 buses. Does anyone know how to get to these buses from the cruise port? Is it easier to get a cab? Not a big fan of switching buses. There will be four of us and 20-25 euros each way for a taxi is something we'd be okay with, especially for the convenience of a taxi.
