Besides the price what is the difference between the standard and premium seats? Is it worth getting the premium seats?

The standard seats are at the edges of the tent, whereas the premium are nearest the action. We had a premium table which was up on the stage...excellent. Unlike Epic there are no upper balcony seats. The show is excellent.

So glad you enjoyed the show! I will soon be 45 days out and would like to make reservations for the show. Do you remember by any chance what the prices are for both seats? Also, I thought I read somewhere there aren't any dinner choices-you get what they are serving, is that true?

I booked premium seats for the show for my 6/9 cruise and they were $39/pp. No mention in the description what type of food is being served.

It is a fixed menu, we enjoyed the show so much that the food was incidental, I seem to remember to start was parma ham and mozzarella, entrée was steak and coconut shrimp, and a trio of desserts to end with coffee. Hope that helps

Well, that really sucks for vegetarians. I'd like to take my daughter, but $60 for 1 child and 1 vegetarian is hardly worth it (if we plan to eat).

Correct you are escorted to available seating as you arrive at the restaurant, so the early bird gets the best view. If however you are staying in the Haven you are taken in early and given your choice of table, which is fine except it meant we had to be there 50 minutes before show time.

The show is great and doesn't stop to allow you to eat! It's full on and very enjoyable. The standard seats are in booths at the rear of the premium seating, the booths are effectively in a semi-circle. If you don't mind one or two pillars, traffic (the waiter service highway is between the booths and the premium seating) and being furthest from the stage then don't pay the extra for premium. The roof of the theatre also obscured about 1 per cent of the show when the acrobats were at a high level. We asked for our own booth and were lucky (or unlucky depending on your opinion) - 2 of us were taken to a booth that had 3 place settings and no-one else was seated with us. A lot of the premium seating appeared to be at very long tables, so if you are in a small group you are likely to be amongst passengers you do not know and I imagine you will be doing some shuffling to avoid your fellow diners heads if you aren't situated at the end of the tables nearest the stage. I wouldn't hesitate to book again next time I am on Breakaway.

Tonight was the Cirque dinner. As a Haven guest, the concierge will whisk you down the secret elevator which opens right by the Cirque entrance. We had our choice of tables and spotted two select tables that were on a platform behind the stage. The two tables sit 6 each (too small for our party of 14) and almost make you part of the show. We’ve been told that as of the 5/19 sailing these “select” tables will be $450 each, which includes a $100 credit toward the bar to be used during the show. Purchasing the table means you can seat 1-6 people. The price does not change regardless of the number of guests.

We did this show one night on the Transatlantic. We did Premium and I am very glad we did. There is so much movement among servers and performers that if you have standard seating you will be dodging left, right and all around. If you are vegetarian or just do not like some of the options they will try to accommodate you. The steak was very good but they all came out about medium rare and I only ate meat that is about medium well. If you do not like your steak MR then tell them this up front as they will not offer you a choice. I wish I had asked for a dinner salad like some did as apposed to the appetizer they served. The show is amazing and not to be missed. It was one of the highlights for me. They did have to cancel two shows one night due to rough seas. ;)

We had a large man sitting in front of us blocking the view and a lady with very big hair in front also blocking the view. So, premium wasn't worth it for us. The non-premium seats are in U shaped booths along the back wall and are raised. I would have preferred these. The theater is small.

We were 6 vegetarians and as long as you tell them of your special food needs before the show, it isn't a problem at all. We found the dining staff to be incredibly accomodating. Just be sure to let a maitre d' OR the restaurant staff by the main desk know of your needs.

I watched the show in premium seats as well. I posted a pic of the menu on my twitter account but its essentially the same as on Epic. The show has the same "style" acts as on the Epic show but the costume And the theme is so much better!!!

Thanks for your review. We have reserved premium seats, but maybe I need to talk to my DW about switching to standard. I have been seeing those booths in pictures and they do look comfortable.

We are not vegetarians, but DW does not eat shrimp or steak. What was the vegetarian meal the served? She might be happier with that.

We booked the standard seats on the Epic based on many opinions. Well, we were the second group (just 2 of us) in line but the people ahead of us had a large party (not all there). Well, there was a mix up with there reservation and it took probably 10-15 minutes to correct. So when we were finally seated, it was in a booth in the back. Very, very bad viewing. I booked premium for Breakaway.

Does anyone know if they had a different kids meal. I can't see them expecting 5 year olds to eat surf and turf. They certainly have to expect many kids at the show and doesn't sound like there would be good viewing for them in either location based upon the comments

I was wondering about the kids menu too. If there is one can you request that when you make the reservations? Based on what everyone is saying I am so torn between standard and premium seats.

We are staying in The Haven 7/28/13. Did you book "Cirque" in advance or does Haven status allow "day of" booking? I have to assume no as it's possible to be sold out in advance.

this isn't Breakaway related, but Epic - we had Cirque booked on Epic and I wanted to change it (we were in the Haven) and they couldn't. So while they can sometimes do a workaround and get you into restaurants, cirque seemed to be the one thing the concierge had a hard time rearranging. Not sure if it's similar on Breakaway, but if it's definitely something you don't want to miss, I'd secure a reservation.

At the dysfunctional family reunion, also held in the tent, a guy at our table was given chicken strips and fries.... so is possible if the waiter has a heart. I ran into a problem not at the cirque, they simply just gave me steak.... but at dysfunctional I informed her I was allergic to shellfish and she suggested a regular salad, 10 minutes later brings me the romaine heart with dressing and you can clearly see where the shrimp were on the plate.... guess she wanted me to have convulsions on the floor or be quarantined like some others were....
