Am I the ONLY one who doesn't like warm chocolate melting cake?

Finally tried it last cruise. Was NOT impressed...and I usually love anything chocolate.

What is it about this particular dessert that makes people go ga-ga?:confused: Because I don't get it. It was ok..but nothing to write home about (as my mamaw would say).

I have wondered the same thing. Wife and I have tried it, I didn't like it but then I'm not much into chocolate. Wife tried it (and she does like chocolate) and she wouldn't waste the time and calories to have it again.

You're not alone. I have concluded those that like it don't know where a good bake shop exists in their town.

Ditto....and I'm a chocoholic.

It was "okay"...but if I had to choose between that and the chocolate muffins in the breakfast buffet...those muffins win!

The chocolate melting cake was okay. However, I'm a big fan of the Chocolate Lava Cake from Dominos pizza. So anything else is downhill :p

I tried it once, but found it too sweet. I would not order it again.

I think we need to get a campaign going with Carnival to ban all Chocolate Melting Cake.

Maybe they can just add it to the NO Smoking Ban.

By any chance... do you have a shirt that says you cruise for the chocolate melting cake?

Only order it once a cruise, maybe.

When I do get it I'll also order a fruit plate. Love dipping the fruit into the chocolate. Much better than the Chocolate Buffet.

As someone who isn't big on chocolate puddings it was just ok...I actually preferred things like the pecan and pumpkin pie (SHOCK).

Hubby loves it.

Im guessing people haven't eaten chocolate fondant before...which is what it really is. Carnival didn't come up with anything new or different. It would be great if they added mint or orange to it...maybe even doing a white chocolate one.

DW is not a fan. I love it. It an amazing process that they through to bake them:D

You may not be the "only" one, but our cruising group LOVES it!! Now I will admit the quality can differ night to night, but we all seem to love it regardless. :)

Yes, I like. I just can't stand it when I am sitting on my balcony and I smell Chocolate Melting Cake coming from the cabin next door.

Then, It happens. Next thing, some melted chocolate oozes from under the divide and gets all sticky on my side of the balcony. Yuk!

I love chocolate and it was too RICH for me. Two bites was enough and then I needed a glass of cold milk.

ok, that's it.

lol ! I don't care for it either and never understood the big fascination with it. ;)
