Car rental - Lifou , Noumea ?

Hoping for some advice -- I have tried contacting several car rental companies on Lifou , and have had no reply . We are in port there in March and would like to drive around a bit . Same for Noumea . Any suggestions ?:confused:

For Noumea try Sixt, I have used them before. Lifou there are rental cars but they are not usually where you will be landing.

Lifou is not that big, you can walk to Jinek Beach for the good snorkeling.
