RCCL stingray excursion boat steps

My parents, who are both 70, would like to do the stingray excursion through the ship. I realize they don't have to do the snorkeling part of the excursion, but I am wondering how difficult it is to exit the boat at stingray city. It sounds like there are steps that go into the water. Does anyone know if it is difficult to get in and out of the boat? Or does anyone know another company that would be easier for my parents to maneuver? Thanks!

Most boats have a ladder, and the guides will help anyone who needs it. That being said, you may get more attention on a smaller, privately booked excursion as the ship-booked tours tend to be pretty large groups.

The easiest boat to get on/off of that I've seen out at Stingray City is Marineland Tours - http://www.marinelandtours.com - if you look at the pics on their website they actually have stairs and handrails rather than a ladder.
