So is everyone coming in here

A new start to a new year

 

How good or bad the holidays were a zero or a ten

Time to get at it again for a very good win

 

Hope all the bad carbs and sweets have gone away

Don't try and eat the leftovers or you won't want to weigh

 

Time to eat healthier and for exercise and water everyday you know

Might be hard to get started again but don't give up and say no

 

We have different weather- cold, rain, wind, snow, don't open the door

Hot drinks are good to go- do your exercises on the floor

 

Hope we all have good weeks, months and a year of lost pounds

So in 2017 wishing you good health, lost weight and to be safe and sound

I am counting today as my Day 1. Didn't quite like the # on the scale - but who does.

On Tuesday I started the No Junk food Diet for 21 days. No cookies, candy, pastries, donuts, white bread, chocolate, fast food, you know junk food. Eating fruits and veggies and trying to get in more water. 44 more days till my very first cruise! Can't wait!

Belle ~ hope 2017 is a good one for you too.:D

 

Well, I'm amazed to say I lost a pound this week & am feeling good about it.

Hopefully soon I'll be in the 150's as I'm aiming for 147, 15 lbs to go!

DH & Wii both have different opinions about what I should weigh but I'm going with the weight I was from 40 to 60 yrs old. I started putting on weight when I retired, coming up for 10 years ago in Feb.

 

Hope everyone else had a good week, but if not there's always next week!;)

So far, so good - this 8/16 fasting is pretty comfortable I must say.

 

Clocked in at 196 this morning, and feeling so much better again.

 

Ditching the junk and processed foods (as much as possible) really gets my energy back and my attitude in a good place.

 

Missus is grumpy as heck, she's still in the "few days in and this sucks" phase, so for now I just stay out of her way lol.

 

The weather is ridiculously good right now - taking advantage of it and walking and just anything to be out.

Happy New year to you all!!!! Well done on the losses and the starting of being good. Let's hope, Well not hope, Lets MAKE this year our year for losing the lbs!!!!!!!!

 

I weighed in Wednesday and lost 1.5lb taking me to 32lb lost for my first cruise this year which I go on on MONDAY!!!! So will no doubt gain a few back when I return in 2 weeks!

 

Come on people, WE CAN DO THIS! x

Jo.. You had a good loss too. Yes you get to the weight you

want and can maintain. It's your body. Have you enjoyed

your retirement? Or is that a silly question?

 

shootr.. Sounds like you in a good place and walking again.

I'm like your wife.. "grumpy" she is because eating less.

I'm because I'm not doing as good as I should be.

 

Red.. Another good loss before your cruise. You might not gain

if walk enough. But if you do, you'll get it off when you come back.

SoOoOoOoOo excited Belle!! It can't get here fast enough. Hoping and praying for good weather in Galveston (no fog) and we are able to visit all our ports!

 

First couple days of the no junk food challenge I was irritated. Mind games, 'you can't have this, you can't have that' made me want all of it!! Haha, didn't give in tho. Real test was going to eat at Chilis for lunch with a friend, no chips...meaning no chips and salsa. Ugh... and I love their BLT for lunch...nope no white bread. Soooo opted for the avocado chicken sandwich and no bread...no chips. That was my turning point. Now my heads on straight and I am focused! I was down this morning...so looking forward to weigh day on Thursday!

I'm glad you 5 are coming in each week. Your the best!

but really miss ALL of the others that use to

come in.

 

COME BACK! Doesn't matter if you gained

or stayed the same. If you lost that's great.

Still need to join us to keep you losing again or

help to keep you maintaining if at goal.

 

Plus we ALL need help one way or another.

Were you just watching or did you have

a dog in the trials?

Just watching, same time every year they have this and it's a hoot. The corgi's are hysterical.

 

Thanks Jo, it's a challenge I enjoy - figuring out what camera settings, etc. I wind up just focusing on a spot in space, and firing off 5-10 shots at a time with fingers crossed. Out of a couple hundred I get 20-30 like these.

 

Nice work on eating out Aratski - isn't it great when it "clicks" in your head finally, and especially the satisfaction later that you won that particular battle!

 

I still can't believe I've been able to stick to this 16 hour/day fasting deal. But I'm usually so busy in the morning that I don't even think about food 'til noon (when I can start to eat anyways). Been able to keep to 1200-1300 calories per day, and getting 3+ miles daily between work and evening strolls.

 

Missus is still not much fun to be around though...:(
