What happened to excursions?

Booked on Carnival Miracle 5/2014. At first there was many shore excursions listed, now many of them do not show up on the Carnival site. Mainly Juneau..all of the city tours and less expensive ones are gone. Cheapest is $140pp. Are they sold out or just not offered anymore?

It is way too early for the final excursion list for next year. IF you happen to be on the first cruise, there may be some tours that won't be operating.

Check independent for verification.

It is very early. They were probably just showing what was offered during the 2013 Alaska season. They will be available again when you get closer to the cruise.

I am surprised that you saw any tours this far out from your cruise.

I know that HAL hasn't put their 2014 excursions up yet. They haven't even signed any contracts yet.

I can't speak for HAL or Carnival but Celebrity has posted their excursions for our August 2014 sailing already. We've booked and paid for two of them.

We sailed Celebrity in August 2013 and they were posted that far in advance then too.

A couple of tours are limited and sell out quickly.

We missed a good one the first cruise and aren't going to do that again.

I saw the same thing happen. I booked for the 5/13 cruise on Carnival Miracle and had the same thing happen. I guess we have to wait for them to update next years excursions.
