Paying For An Excursion?

Is paying for an excursion different if you reserve it after final payment? We reserved several excursions before final payment. The excursions were not included in the final payment so they will end up on our final bill. I just reserved a new one and it was charged immediately to my credit card. It was a tour of Vancouver after the cruise that ends up taking you to the airport. Why the difference????

You reserved excursions through Carnival before final payment and they didn't charge your credit card? I have never seen that before. Anytime we have reserved an excursion before the cruise, our card has always been charged right away. The only time it has been on our final bill is if we reserved it when we were already on the ship.

That's correct. Paid the final bill last week and the excursions were definitely not included. Maybe we will get them free. Can't really see that happening!!!

How did you book the excursions? Through the website? If that's the case, perhaps they were charged to your card and you didn't notice, and have you confirmed that you are indeed booked and they just weren't added to your "cart." I'm sure you have, but I've just never seen this before.

Best guess, it will be on your sign and sail card bill then, but who knows, free is a possibility right? Good luck!

I check my credit cards daily and they were definitely not added to the card. They were booked on line and they show up on Manage My Cruise. They were booked about 3 weeks before final payment.

This is a new one to me. All the times I have booked them they were charged at the time of booking.

Couple going to Hawaii with us booked the same excursions and the same thing is happening to them. Not included in final payment and not charged to credit card.

If what you are saying is correct, then a mistake has happened. All excursions booked on line are supposed to be billed immediatly to your credit card.

So, one of two things will take place.
Carnival will see the problem and your excursion tickets will be invalidated.
or
Carnival will see the problem and offer to let you pay up before invalidating your excursion purchases.

If neither of these take place,,, count your lucky stars and be quiet about it.

By the way, on the past excursions I booked about a month ago, a credit card was not ask for.
