You're doing all the right research! Good luck with your choice.
we have had the owners suit on star deck 9 (tow balconies) one forward one on side was really nice, the front can get a little windy and cool if not on a really nice day. the side balcony was best for coffee in morning and late night relaxing, but that front balcony was Really Big

We are in Aft Penthouse cabin 9670 on the Pearl this summer to Alaska. Its the end Penthouse. Someone mentioned in an earlier post that the end Aft cabins wrap around. Can someone tell me if this is true on the Pearl it would be awesome if it is! Thanx!

The views of the aft area are amazing.
The aft penthouses on a lot of the ships (Star/Dawn for sure) on deck 10 have a much larger balcony than those on other decks. Not sure about the Jade. We have a forward PH booked on the Sun for 2015. Tried the aft PH and now want to try the forward.

Of the ships we have been on (Star, Dawn, Pearl, Gem), only the Star had the wrap arounds on Decks 8 and 9. Don't know why the others don't.
