Cunard single specials

Received an email from Cunard today with a number of specials for singles starting at $899 for 7 days. Most are transatlantic crossings but there are a couple of New England/Canada cruises (which are more than the TA but still under $150 a day).

I've just tried an internet search for these but didn't find anything relevant.

I wonder if perhaps they are personal offers to the specific e-mail addressee?

I also received that e-mail with "solo specials". I just returned from the Queen Mary 2 when I booked a cabin as a solo, so maybe they targeted past solo cruisers?

I went back and read the fine print at the bottom of the offer. It is only good for U.S., Canadian, Puerto Rican, and Mexican citizens. Sorry!

Thanks for your reply. Someone has started a thread in the Cunard forum and there is much comment about who has/has not received the offer!

I just returned from a Transatlantic Cruise on the 17 June on the QM2. I was a single passenger and I didn't get any email from Cunard. You've been on a lot of cruises, Sir.

It doesn't apply to us in the UK - see post 4.

I just find it odd that as a world cruise club member, and a US solo traveler at that, only certain folks were privy to that email offer. If you didn't get the email, you were not permitted to cite the offer and the normal single surcharges apply. For one brief moment, I though Cunard was trying to be nice to us solo travelers...not at this point.
