I'm trying to find a company to do a snorkel your but I'm doing it last minute so most are booked. Now I'm looking through the cruise ship. These are the descriptions of both,

bonaire national marine park

Bonaire's celebrated Marine Park protects the island's most-precious natural resource. Turtles, rays, and fish of every imaginable color abound in the pristine waters of the park.

Klein Bonaire

The protected waters of the Bonaire Marine Park surround this uninhabited islet. Its clear water and healthy reefs make for outstanding snorkeling and diving.

The. Marine park sounds rad but everyone speaks highly of Klein.

Actually this is the tour over view for the marine park, anyone know what hotel they drop you off at?

Enjoy a guided shore snorkel in Bonaire National Marine Park with free time on the beach. Your tour begins as you board your open-air transportation for a short drive to 18th Palm Beach and the marine park. After receiving snorkeling equipment and a lesson, you'll follow your guide into the water and snorkel among fish of every imaginable color. Snorkeling equipment, a snorkel vest, and instruction are included. You'll cap your beach adventure off with free time on the beach and a complimentary beverage. Explore the bar, the restaurant and the casino. Play beach volleyball or simply relax on your complimentary beach lounge. Snorkeling equipment, a snorkel vest, and instruction are included.

What do you all think? Thanks!!

Hi Puggleperson,

I love Bonaire! It's my favourite snorkel place and I have visited six times by plane, usually for a week or more each time.

The Marine Park surrounds the whole island and Klein Bonaire.

The excursion you describe will take you to the Plaza Hotel and you will snorkel off their property. There are tons of things to see from teeny tinies in the shallows to huge parrot fish and black margates in the deeper water.

Klein Bonaire is also beautiful but there are no facilities on the island. You can see Black Durgon fish here (my faves!)

If you are an experienced snorkeler who wants more time in the water and don't need too many luxuries like beach chairs and umbrella drinks, do Klein.

If you prefer to be able to go in and out of the water easily, do the hotel.

Both will offer lots to see! Bonaire is great for everyone…novice to expert.
