Dollar car rental location at Port Evergaldes

We're arriving into Orlando a couple of days early and will be renting a car at the airport from Dollar. We then want to drop the car in Ft. Lauderdale pre-cruise. Dollar car rental shows that when renting a car from Orlando and dropping off in Ft. Lauderdale, the drop off must be at the Port Evergales (not the airport) location. Has anyone dropped off at Port Everglades? Is it an easy drop off? Do they then transport you to your ship's terminal? If so, how long is the wait for the shuttle and how long does the whole drop off process take?

We're renting from Dollar for 1 night prior to our cruise in April. We're picking up at the airport and returning to the Port Everglades (which isn't really AT Port Everglades, but not far) location. I called their office and they do have a shuttle to the port. I'm sorry though, I can't tell you what the wait time might be like.

We've used the Thrifty/Dollar Port Everglades location a couple of times (we avoid the FLL location due to airport fees). Their office which they share with Thrifty is just outside the PE gate...Have always had amazingly quick service both at the counter (same employees serve/work for both) for pickup or drop off..Their shuttle bus makes many trips in/out..they don't make you wait...we have even been the only ones onboard the bus before..since they are the closest they don't seem to care about how many trips they make..or at least it has been what we've observed.
