My husband is looking forward to shopping for a diamond ring in St.Thomas - do you need to book a downtown shopping excursion to find the best shopping outlets or are there many shops right at the port?

Downtown is a 10 mintue walk or $6 cab ride from both ports.

Thanks, I just see all the Carnival downtown shopping excursions available and just wanted to be sure we weren't missing out on a major shopping area by staying near the ship.

Agred, but there are shops on the quay where you will dock. Be prepared to play hardball barter. Compare prices prior to leaving -
