Do many people wear holiday-style/colored clothing since the ship's decorated as such during December on dressy/formal night? I thought it might be a nice way to take a family photo on board (3-night cruise), Dec 13th.

You will see people ranging from jeans to formal gowns. Most people dress casual, but formal attire will not be out of place.

Go for it. Cruises are a good excuse to get dressed up and take family portraits.

On our recent Dream cruise, there was one optional dress up night, and I only saw one person dressed up the whole night. Most people were very casual that night. You are welcome to dress up, and maybe more people will dress up closer to the holidays, but the one person I saw dressed in a tux really did look out of place. But, as others say, do what you want for your cruise!
