Celebrity Cruises -- How gay are they?

We have been on other lines, Princess and Holland America and felt comfortable being gay on their ships. Does Celebrity offer any type of "Friends of Dorothy" meeting?? Do they have any type of meeting where gays/lesbians and so forth can meet? We were just curious and hope we can find some like minded friends aboard. We do pick straight cruises over gay ones because we feel there is too much pressure on a gay cruise and the straight cruises present no pressure, but we want to feel welcomed and understood! Anyone have any suggestions or comments, we would be glad to hear them any and all!

My partner and I did a t/a on the Solstice last November and found the staff very friendly.

We are sailing on the Atlantis Med cruise in August and prefer all gay cruises.

Never have we felt any pressure on the gay cruise.

We sail the Solstice class a lot and it seems there has always been a good turnout at the Friends of Dorothy. Celebrity lets guests schedule their own on a community bulletin board. Some love it, some hate it. We like it because when we've been on other lines, it was often held at ridiculous times like 5:30 p.m., when we're still getting cleaned up for dinner. We have great memories of our Celebrity cruises.

We only travel on Celebrity RCL and Azamara and are always treated GREAT. They all have FOD meetings. The staff is always very friendly and remembers us by name from cruise to cruise. I am sure you would have a great time on Celebrity or any ship in the Royal Caribbean family
