That was very nice of you OP. I hope that you can find the owner.
What about posting on or doing a search of various Craigslists?

I am glad to hear that the OP is just "helping" in this process, and that the camera is still in the possesion of the "employees" or hopefully the business where they work. That is the best (perhaps .... only) chance the camera has of making it back to its original owner.
This brings to mind a recent conversation from Trip Advisor's Las Vegas board. Someone found a camera in a casino, but instead of turning it into Security, decided to keep (errrr .... steal) it, and set off on a personal quest to find it's owner. Let's face it though .... the security department of a major LV casino and the beach shack in Cozumel are about as far apart on several levels as can be imagined.
But, the camera staying where it was lost is still its best and probably only chance of making it back to its owner.
Hope this one turns out with a happy ending!

Well, there you go. He may be from Dallas. It's a start.
FYI, when I found the camera owner in my case, it was due to a sign on a school wall. If you could upload all the photos you have to an online photo account, like Webshots, we can look at all of them and may be able to help more.

I always take a picture of my sea pass card but I never thought of it as anything; good to know it can be used in such situations!
I hope the person and the camera can be reunited!

Hi Paul, I wish I could but unfortunately the camera isn't in my possession. The employees of Paradise Beach who found the camera still have it and they are only putting out a few pics. I will write to them though and see if they can post more.
Thanks for all your suggestions.

Hi Sallie, The person who posted on the Carnival board said they lost their camera on in mid-July at the same location. They left a lot of clues. Just curious if the description matches. I posted the link on a previous post:
He or she said:
It was a Nikon Coolpix S6000,
in a black zippered case,
a 8 gig card with 50th birthday, 25th anniversary, a Vegas trip with mom, 16th birthday pics of twin neice/nephew, last pics of MIL before she passed, concerts, my wonderful pet cats (2 siamese and one long hair red/white) and so much more on
the CC screenname is: Another Ship Trip
the timing is off by about 2 weeks, but the same exact location. They didn't give a contact number in the post, but you could probably send a private message to them through CC if the description matches. It doesn't appear they have posted in a few weeks so might not still be monitoring the boards.

Very long shot that he's actually from Dallas or TX. I was born in TX but haven't lived there since I was 8. My entire family are Dallas fans. I work in No VA and know lots of Dallas fans that have no tie at all to TX. I see Cowboy lanyards, shirts, hats, jackets, etc all the time. Hopefully, they will post more pics. They could have been on an excursion from a lot of different cruise lines.

Here's another site you could use to try and find the owner.
http://www.stolencamerafinder.com/
The idea behind this site is that some digital cameras embed a serial number into the pictures taken by that specific camera. The site does an internet search for pictures that contain the same serial number and might be worth a try in case the original owner posted other pictures taken by the same camera.

Memory cards have gotten so cheap I'm in the habit now of buying a new one for each vacation and keeping the pic's on them at home(in addition to putting them on the laptop sooner or later). I guess one unintentional benefit of doing that is there aren't lots of other older pictures to lose if the camera or card are lost on a trip.
