NCL Casino at Seas - VIP Tier

The bonus points for Golden is 10,000 (The equivalent of $100.00). I am not 100% sure but I believe the tier up bonus for VIP is 15,000 ($150.00).

It is very hard to say with Blackjack or any table play as you are basically at the mercy of the built in table counter & the pit boss/dealer tracking your correct bets. If you are a consistent better it would probably be on point but if you are the type that brings your bets up & down my guess is you will not be tracked correctly.

If you are trying to tier up a level I would suggest you check daily with the casino host as to your tier point count & toss in some slot (1 point = $5.00) or video poker (1 point = $10.00) play into the mix to pad your points.

Thanks for this. It was exactly what I was looking for. I am golden currently and am close to hitting VIP.

Well I would guess at 200 a spin you would get rated pretty well but keep track of your time spent playing. I would check with the casino host every morning (after their system updates) to get a point check. From that you can average out how they are rating you based on the point total for that day and if you see any major discrepancies you can address it then as it is impossible for CAS on land to fix anything after you are off the ship.

Thanks for the explanation. We read that there is such a thing called 'casino boarding pass' that gets you faster on board ?

How do people get that ? Do I need to call a number or visit a casino to get that ... if you could explain how that works it would be great. Thanks a lot!

When you check in the port there is a casinos at sea check in desk as soon as you go in on the right. A port worker will give you a "boarding number" paper, Make sure they give you the one that says CASINO on it. After you check in go straight towards the back right past the hotdog/pretzel stand. There is a roped off area for CAS (Its on the right & it is not marked) but you will see the glass door to board in that area. Some of the workers will try to tell you to stay on the left side in the main boarding area, just walk by them holding up your "casino" card and go behind the rope.

I know that sounds harsh but not all of the workers know what they are doing and I sail out of NYC very frequently and I do know.

Any other questions let me know.

Do they give the Casino boarding paper to anyone ... if one just asks for it, or does one need to show them a player card or anything like that? Sent from my iPhone using Forums

You can get a casino boarding card, if you are sailing as a guest of the casino (i.e. your reservations is booked by/through the casino).

You get a casino boarding card, if you are sailing out of New York. I have not seen it at any other ports.

Most port have a casino check-in line. They will check your name against a list of casino guests on that cruise.

There are no players cards. They are issued and given to you on board for each cruise. They expire at the end of your cruise.

Does anyone know what the bonus points are once you hit VIP. I know with Golden it was 10,000. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

If you are playing at a VIP level, the casino is comping you more than the basic points you earn (even with bonus points). If you are working with the casino hosts, at the Golden level, they should be comping you more than the basic points you earn on the cruise.

To add in one more thing. If you booked through the casino you do not need to go to the casino for your players & drink card, they will be in an envelope in your room when you get on board along with a welcome letter and invite to a rum punch thing 1/2 an hour before the casino opens.

What do you mean by this? I usually get a comped additional dinners or spa visits, but I have never gotten anything else. Do you have to approach the casino host?? I have never approached them, they usually come to me and introduce themselves to me.

Ok. Thanks for clearing this up. Unfortunately we did not book through a casino. Even though we are from NJ did not realize u can do that. What casinos allow to do this in AC? We have player card for almost all of them.

Anything over 2500 points earned on a cruise will get you money off your bill at the end of the cruise. If you do less then 2500 points those reward points will carry over for the next 18 months but you have to approach the casino host on the next cruise so they can transfer the points over.

The main Atlantic city partnership is with Total rewards but many AC casinos give out the free cruise certificates a few times a year. Below is the link for the Total rewards/NCL program. If you have sailed and gambled on NCL previously you can call them direct and ask if you are entitled to anything. Casinos at Sea's phone number is 877-752-9625. I would recommend you call them after your next sailing to see what offer is available. Comps normally start at 2800 earned points on a 7 day cruise.

This was very helpful. Thank you. I will be doing my first NCL Casino cruise in Sept on the Gem.

What time do they open the terminal doors? When does boarding usually start?

I will be GOLDEN on my January Jade cruise. I carry over my points from cruise to cruise and have accumulated a lot of points. Can I use the points to buy from the ship's retail shops or is it only for tours, dinners, spa time and drinks?

Yes it does, I always buy cigarettes and sometimes bottles of liquor. Casino points cannot be applied to tips but can be applied to any other onboard spending.

If you are a regular casino guest, it is to your benefit to get to know the host staff on each of your cruises. Introduce yourself on embarkation day. Say "hi" daily. In CCC's example above, if you were to earn 2500 points a a cruise, by default, the host staff can take $25 off your bill on the last night of the cruise (yes, you need to go and stand in line with everyone else). 2500 points is $12K in slot play or $25K in VP play. If you lost more than you won to get to 2500 point, the host staff can comp more than the obligatory $25 off your bill. They could, for example, comp 100% of the allowable charges off your room bill (excluding tips and gratuities, etc.). This is true of any tier level.

At the VIP level (which is the title of this thread) you automatically get your $200 in dining credit, $250 in spa credit, Ultra drink card. Which would come off your bill first, before the casino hosts look for additional comps they can give you.

I have never stood in line to have charges removed, they do it automatically the night before the end of a cruise unless I tell them to put a note in my account to bank the points. If you are a slot player you will see when they apply your points because your points will show a much lower figure. If you plan on banking points I suggest you take a screenshot of your point count the last night of the cruise before you go to bed.

The host can remove any charges after the initial Tier benefits as shown below:

Hot tier $75.00 food/Beverage credit

Golden tier $125 spa, $100 Food/Beverage & any download of money 3% fees.

I have had hundreds removed after the initial tier credits....Yeah I have had a few bloodbaths in my time
