If you book dolphins, can you get into Chakanaab before dolphin encounters opens?

We booked the dolphin encounter independently.

Dolphin encounters doesn't open until 9 and the park opens at 8. Can you use the printout of your booking confirmation to get into the park at 8?

Yes, we did. We actually went in and checked in with the dolphin folks and then walked around and swam a bit before our encounter. Nice place.

yep spent 4 hrs, prior to the dolphins, at the beach, buffet, pool :)

When you walk in the gates, it's all together. The entire place is open from the dolphin swim area to the beach, snorkeling, pool, shopping, replica ruins, lagoon, alligator exhibit and so on. You are free to do whatever you want once you are in. :)

You mentioned the dolphins don't open until 9am, are you saying that your swim is scheduled for 9am? If so, I wouldn't adventure off "too far" because they usually want you there just a little before the swim for check in and briefing of the equipment and what is going to happen. So, that won't give you much time to explore because the place is pretty big. If you have a later swim, you would have time or just go after the swim. :)
