Have the rules been changed yet so that no visa is necessary in China if you are only there long enouigh to disembark the boat in Shanghai and take the ship's transfer to the airport, leaving within 12 hours of arrival?

Thanks, Nina

Check with Chinese consulate/embassy in your country for details of these transit Visas and whether they are available to citizens of your country ,

In March this year we arrived in Shanghai on Costa Classica and some pax who were on board had these "transit visas" which I think were valid for 48 hours .

The Chinese force the same regulations on you that your country forces on Chinese vistors to your country.

If a Chinese cruise passenger can enter your country on a ship and travel overland to an airport without a visa, then the Chinese Government will allow you to do the same in China.
