Liquor

No, they don't check your bag. You're probably okay if you keep the wine in your room and don't take your drinks on deck. Even then there's no one really watching you. But the drinks at the bar are reasonably priced and the bar is always open.

We took the launch back with one of the waiters... his bags were full of liquor! :) No, they will definitely not search your bags. We purchased some wine in Sicily and enjoyed it on-board. And there is nothing that prevents you from filling your glass in your cabin, and strolling about on deck - no one would possibly question. What you can't do is bring a bottle to the dining room - or bar - but who's going to do that?? The wine, beer and liquor on board is inexpensive. I've been told by passengers on other (larger) cruise ships, this isn't the case. Bottles of wine at the table are very modestly priced. We do like our wine/cocktails. And when we paid our bar bill at the end of our cruise, I was pleasantly surprised.
