Default Arcadia Activities

I am thinking of doing 2015 World on Arcadia and cant find any specific details of events on board. Is there still Ballroom Dance instructors and do we have classes every day ? Is there Line Dance every day ? There used to be when we did World on Aurora a few years ago.

Where can I get a copy of daily programme .. Arcadia is doing world 2014 so it should be the same when we go in 2015 ?

Many thanks. K

Hi K, welcome to the Q&A.

On board activities and entertainment is a big part of any cruise and is something that makes the P&O Cruises experience really unique. Once you’re on board, you will be able to view our daily programme which is called ‘Horizon’. It contains full details of all planned events and activities every day. Every cruise has a different itinerary of events, so unfortunately I can’t confirm exactly which activities will be available on your cruise, but I can tell you personally that there will be lots for you to do. Dance classes take place on all cruises with at least seven nights duration, and these vary with classes ranging from ballroom to latin.

Full information, including any associated costs, times and locations will be available on board. I hope this helps, and I hope you have a fantastic time on Arcadia’s world cruise in 2015.

Regards,
Christopher

Default Arcadia Activities

Mr E I do not believe that passenger activities are a P&O priority anymore. Yes in the past we have enjoyed a variety of well supported craft sessions such as beading, needlecraft and papercraft but we spent 24 days (many of them at sea) on Azura in September 2013 and found that there are no longer any 'craft' sessions on board - a definite cost cutting exercise! The nearest being art classes - no good to me - as no amount of lessons can teach me the art of water colours!!
It is too late when you get on board and read the 'Horizon' - much better to know in advance so that you have an opportunity to arrange your own activities for the voyage!! We are joining Aurora in Sydney in February for a 63day cruise back to Southampton which includes many sea days and I have enquired and been told that the on board activities will be (more) water colour sessions, quizzes, bridge, talks etc etc same 'ole - same ole!!!! Very very disappointing!!!! and boring when you've heard it all before having done some 20 cruises!!
