Tauck...why is Tauck not

represented in this forum or any other...for that matter?

There are probably a number of reasons, one being that perhaps they don't want to be on a forum. They are also somewhat of a travel agency, and the terms of service would prohibit this. And, being they're not exclusively a cruise line and this is a forum for cruise lines, that could be another reason. If CC included all agencies such as Tauck, then they would have to include others like Abercrombie and Kent, Globus and all others. That would make this sight impossible. And, Tauck isn't just for cruises, as they are better known for their escorted land tours rather than their cruises, and after all this is called CRUISE Critic.

Good question. While Tauck offers both land and sea luxury experiences, CC is commited to focus on "cruise only" companies. That said, many Tauck cruise experiences and questions can be found on the "other cruise lines" forum on CC. Check that forum out, and I'll bet you can find some discussion on Tauck cruise tours! (Type Tauck in the search function on upper right)

I took a fantastic tour through Tauck, sailing on Le Ponant, all through the small islands of the med. Shes the sailing yacht that was overtaken by pirates not long ago! :D

Dan, I am going on Le Ponant via Tauck this September and wondered if you had any other info you cared to share about the ship. What is the dress code? Is there wi-fi available? Favorite ports? Anything! Thanks

Take a look ath the River Cruise area of CC and use the search function where you will find further information.

The cruise company Ponant has a website where you find information on its cruises and ships. The dress code, by the way, is country club casual. Tauck charters cabins. They don't own the ship.

Thanks. I have looked at the Ponant web site and at Tauck's description. I was just hoping to get some insight from CCers who have done this trip.
