Hey folks. I'm booked into my first-ever Neptune suite on the Koningsdam, sailing in November of this year. I googled for reviews or photos of this suite, which is right at the front of the ship and a very different shape than the other Neptune suites.. but found nothing.

If anyone has info or pictures to post that would be great.

We chose this following a very unexpected casino email offer from HAL yesterday. Huge savings (about 60% off current fare) & we aren't even big gamblers. I even thought it was a scam at first, but yup it was legit.

Here is a link to a youtube of Cabin 11005 on Koningsdam. It is different from standard Neptune Suites, but looks nice. We were in 7118 so we had a "typical" layout. Really liked the separate toilet area to the shower and bath. Additionally, in ours, the the vanity was at the window. Since we were in the Fjords, my wife really enjoyed being able to see the beautiful views while getting ready.

You will love the perks. Take advantage of the Neptune Lounge. You will get a bottle of champagne in your room for sailaway, but the Neptune Lounge will also be serving champagne and wine during sailaway. So go there for a glass or two and save the bottle for another occasion. Also we were offered dinner at the Culinary Arts on sailaway night for no charge by the concierge. If you are offered that, do it... very nice. Only had to pay for wine, $19 per person for unlimited wine, or you can buy on your own or just drink water or tea. The Neptune Lounge is also a nice place to grab a snack throughout the day. Found it very nice after being on shore and just wanted a small snack. They have small sandwiches, meat and cheese plates, desserts, etc. Very nice. Also an "honor bar" and a coffee machine. They also do continental breakfast in the morning.

Anyway, enjoy the Neptune Suite. Look at the below linked video. Keep in mind, if you prefer the other cabinplan, you might be able to swap to a different cabin as the cruise approaches. Eitherway I don't think you can go wrong.

I had looked at the two Neptune suites at the top/front of the ship, and finally found a review of the cabin somewhere (I can't find it now). The reviewer loved the huge size of the cabin - very spacious. They didn't love the long distance to the Neptune Lounge though. When the ship was under way, it was too windy to sit out on the huge verandah. Since I love to sit on the verandah, and I'm addicted to the Neptune Lounge, I decided on a suite across the hall from the Neptune Lounge.
