New cruiser...is it warm to lay out on ship or windy?

Yes, the Dawn has freshwater pools. Whether it will be windy or not will totally depend on Mother Nature. If she brings wind, then it will be a little windy. But the Pool is surround by deck windows so it usually isn't too bad.

I think that's what is nice about being on a ship...the weather is so warm even hot, but the wind (either kissed by mother nature , or just the fact that you're going 17 knotts) seems to keep you a little cooler. It can be a real nuisance but when the ship is in port and you're laying on that deck...MAN IT'S HOT! So you get used to the wind but it isn't anything (in normal conditions) that has kept us inside.

Depends where you're going. Hard to lay out on the deck on an Alaskan cruise most of the time! ;)

I have to agree with Nitemare! Only one deck day for most people on our Alaska cruise. Other than that one, every day has been a lounge by the pool with a welcome breeze and we have done a lot of those days!
