Default Just an example of ES price denial

I noticed a huge $5 drop in our cruise price, which was booked ES..I did a mock booking of our identical cruise, large balcony, ES rate, and saw the lower price. Submitted the form and this is what they said. I am not going to worry about it, but they are definitely wrong , unless I am missing something. The cruise is 3/16/2014 on the Magic , premium (large ) balcony. I booked it on their website for total of 2113.80, and if you check it today doing ES rate for the same category, it is 2109.06 for 2 travelers.....Can't figure this one out..

Your Early Saver price protection request has been denied. The $989 per person rate was available for the 8A category not the 8B you currently have booked. I have provided the fare viewer link below that will help you view the correct rate for the different cabin categories.

If the phrase in bold is correct, then that is why you didn't get your price reduction.

I called CCL , and while on hold, I figured it out. We are on deck 7 , which is not available now, and the lower cost I found is on deck 6 , which is 8a , and not 8B which is a little cheaper anyway, so my bad....

Don't bother with mock booking, use this to easily compare exact categories

This is a good place to check but not if you are looking for military. The only way to get military fare, that I have found, is to do a mock booking.

But I have to say with the new pricing structure all of my booked cruises are showing much more than I paid. Even the ones that are booked almost a year out. These were all booked prior to the new pricing structure.

I still prefer a mock booking to double check because you can't compare exact categories with the fare viewer. You can only see the lowest priced interior, balcony, etc. If you have a higher category balcony, you don't really know if the price has dropped. You would have to submit the form to see.

It should show you for all the categories (i.e. 4 a, 4, b, 4c, etc)- unless they are sold out.

Like the other post said, fare viewer will not show rates special to each pax, like military or casino. I got a $250 OBC thru a mock booking that I did not see on fare viewer.
