Soneta Hotel Fort Lauderdale?

Can anyone advise us about the Soneta Hotel Ft Lauderdale as a pre cruise hotel. Is this a good place to stay for a day, is there restaraunts and stores within walking distance. Please advise. Thanks:D

We stay here before a cruise. The galleria is a couple blocks away. Primanti brothers pizza is right next door and it's terrific. The hotel itself is very clean, modern and comfortable. Smooth, quick check in. Close to port Everglades.

We stayed here in March 2015. They did a very good job updating the rooms here. Great views from the rooms, nice pool. And another vote for Primati Brothers pizza or sandwich.

Hooray for Primanti Brothers...it is now a requirement that we find a hotel closeby so we can enjoy their pizza the day we arrive in Ft. Lauderdale and then their breakfast before heading to the ship!!!

We stayed at this Sonesta post-cruise a couple of years ago, and thought it was one of the nicest hotels we've ever been in. Walking into the room & the huge picture window overlooking the beach & ocean was spectacular --- it was like a painting. Also maybe the nicest shower I've been in. Lots of places to eat within walking distance ... beach is just across the street ... hotel staff were great. Definitely high on our list as a choice to return to in the future.

great hotel and recommend it 100%. Rooms are modern clean, staff is nice and personable.
