7 hour layover

We have a 7 hour layover in Seattle. Can we leave the airport or do we have to stay there?

What makes you think you'd have to stay there?

Just make sure you allow yourself plenty of time when you return to the airport as you will obviously need to go back through security.

Yes, you can leave there but as Chairsin noted, leave yourself a lot of time to get back if you choose to do this.

Yes you certainly can leave the airport, just remember that you will have to go through security all over again on your way back in, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get back!

Seattle has a great tram/light rail service that runs from the airport to downtown Seattle, which will make things easier. Just remember to keep your carryon light since you may have to be dragging in around with you. Don't travel with carryon only! I think most of the old lockers, where one could store stuff as they wandered around, that they once had at the airport have all been removed after 9/11. You may wait to enquire about that, it would make it easier!

Security at SeaTac can easily run 2 hrs it is a crazy zoo.
