We used Victor Bodden while we were in Roatan. They are a great company. Our driver took us all over the island. Then we went to the beach for about an hour and a half. I have some pictures of Roatan in my review. Just click on the link next to my Legend review in my signature. The island is beautiful, and I will have to say my favorite port.

Have you read through the threads on the Roatan board? Several threads with reviews about what folks did and the various drivers over there.

Beautiful island. Would love to go back and spend a week at Fosters West Bay Resort!

Michelle, you couldn't have picked a better guy! Victor Bodden has a group of drivers that work for him, and they are very nice, fluent in English, and will take you wherever you want. They are basically "yours" for the day, and will make sure you are back to the ship in time. They meet you at the end of the dock and escort you to your car. (They have signs-it won't be hard to find them. When we were there in 2006, we weren't sure what we wanted to do, so our driver (Julio) basically took us all around the island to sights he thought we would like. We saw shipwrecks, the mayor's mansion, Fantasy Island, the Iguana farm (only $5!) He pointed out the very rich places, and also the very poor. At one stop he was careful to warn us that there would be beggars there if we didn't want to go there, stating that these were extremely poor people. We asked him to stop, and were glad he did. I'd rather spend my money giving to the locally poor than in big port shops. I got very good deals on vanilla, a couple of shell necklaces, and even a few shells that the local children had obviously just picked off the beach.

This island has been my favorite port to date. They are still very rustic, but there are signs of it being built up. I would definitely recommend it, unless you are one of those that don't like that sort of thing, before this island goes totally commercial like the rest. Ziplining there is supposed to be the best, but I can't comment on that. These poor people are very proud of there little paradise, and Victor is very trustworthy. I have yet to see anything bad said about him or his drivers. He even takes people to his wife's store, or to their house. If you want to just stay at the beach, they will do that too! Have a great day there!:)

Victor's crew are fabulous. I highly recommend them and yes, they will do whatever you want. :D I'd book with him again in a second, no hesitation at all.

You're going to LOVE Roatan!!!!!!! It's beautiful. The beach is gorgeous, but don't spend too much time there that you miss a lot of the island. It's too beautiful to miss any of it. Make sure to stop at the Cameo Factory.

I hope you enjoy your cruise!

We were in Roatan last week and used Victor Bodden - very professional and well-organized. Our driver, Orsy, took us wherever we wanted to go. We did stop at the iguana farm which I was initially debating, but it turned out to be great fun. We also stopped at Victor's house and held the monkeys - it was the highlight of the tour for us. I hope you enjoy Roatan - it was our favorite stop.

We've hired Juan Carlos Rodriguez several times. He is fabulous. He's a young man with a heart of gold and very personable. He used to drive for Victor but has his own company now. His website is islandertours.com.
