Weather - Mediterranean Cruise July 2013

We are booked to leave Venice on July 5th, 2013 and I am wondering if it is going to be horribly hot?? Who has sailed in the month of July - how was the weather??

Hot and humid. Plan on 90's. EM

Try checkiing one of the online weather sites. They have daily average highs and lows.

Most likely it will be hot and humid. However, don't let the weather discourage you. There are many things you can do; e.g.,

(1) Arrange outdoor activities in the early morning, and save indoor visits (e.g., museums) in the afternoon.

(2) Bring hat and/or umbrella. Umbrella is a great way to create "artificial shade" :-)

(3) Drink lots of water and eat lots of gelato :D

You will have a wonderful time, but take everyone's advice. If you are stopping in Kusadashi, then by all means bring an umbrella as it was very hot, and sunny, with little shade. Also, if you stop in Athens, and you are touring independently, make sure you pay attention to what slip your ship is at. We did not, and thought we would pass out in the 100 plus heat trying to find the Ruby Princess. The port is huge, and no one seemed to know where the ship was, including the taxi drivers and the port officials. Go figure.

It will be lovely and hot, probably no rain whatsoever. Blue sky, blue sea - fabulous!
