Cane Garden Bay Beach or Virgin Gorda

Hello all:

We have been to Virgin Gorda to the Baths used Speedy's and it was a great day.

We were planning on going back to the Baths on our upcoming trip, but have recently read that Cane Garden Bay Beach in Tortola is wonderful. But I have also read you can't get in the water (or shouldn't) due to contamination.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

We are going both places,

we are doing the baths in the morning and after lunch we are taking a tour of Tortola which includes an hour or so at Cane Garden Bay. Most of the talk was over a report 14 years ago so I am not the least concerned.

I was also thinking about Cane Garden Bay but heard that the snorkeling is not that good there and better at Brewers Beach. I am still torn as weather to go back to the Bath's or try Brewer's beach. My main attraction is the snorkeling?? Decisions, Decisions!!!

glamourgal,

The snorkeling was horrible at Cane Garden Bay, while it is in a beautiful setting, the silt was so bad I could see practically nothing. On the other hand, I had great snorkeling at the Baths in Virgin Gorda and at Honeymoon Bay on St. Thomas. The snorkeling at Coki Beach was pretty good too.

Have a great trip!
