Yukon Sled Dog Tour:

Anyone have any experiences with this tour? They don't give much info on the web site.

I don't know why Orca would mention it, but the only Yukon sled dog tour is at Carcross, available through many excursion operators in Skagway - http://www.yukonhuskies.com/kennel_tours.html is the operator's site.

I just looked at Orca's web site. I'm sure they don't actually do this - they book for other independent vendors. But it looks very interesting!

I've been looking at booking the same tour throught Southeast Tours (www.southeasttours.com) called the deluxe yukon tour...and it's only $115....can't seem to find any difference between the tours, can you?? ~ cindy:confused:

Actually, the advantage in booking through Orca is if you are doing a morning whale watch with Captain Larry, he will take you right to the heliport for your helicopter flight to the glacier.

We will be doing this at the end of August. Will let you know how it works out.

Booking through Orca can be helpful when both excursions are in Juneau, but in the case of the OP - the dog sled excursion is in Skagway.

I'm glad you pointed this out. I was starting to get confused, doesn't take much <G>.

I went back to the Orca site to make sure the whale watching I wanted was in Juneau. lol
