How much $$ do you spend in the casino?

The first few cruises I didn't spend too much in the casino. . . but last year I found myself in there more. I probably spent about $500.00 but won $350. So for the week I had a loss of $150.00 . . .not too bad but would have been better to win!:)

You don't SPEND money in the casino, you gamble(put your money at risk with a chance of reward). Better question is "how much do you take to gamble with."

DW and I budget $2oo.00 a day. Some days we actually win, but usually a seven day cruise will cost us around a thousand :)

I am petty close to the same as Genek. In any casino I (try to) set daily limits. Some of the past cruises the poker limits have been higher than i perferd so I had to increase the daily limit.

On the other side I also set winning limits. I like to gamble. When I win big early it is hard to leave, but I feel winning limits are just as important as losing limits. Limits are what makes gambling fun, affordable and some times profitable.

My winning limit is double my losing limit

No, actually I don't. Do you mean : How much do you take to gamble with or how much do you lose or how much action do you give the casino?

I take $100/day. I've been known to sometimes go over the daily limit, but if I lose it all early, that's it. So I don't do that too often. :o

Kimberlys: We have a budget of $100 per day per person. After 15 cruises, we are probably either up a couple of hundred dollars or down the same amount. We play blackjack. One 11 day cruise, we played for a total of 33 hours and xx minutes (Casino at Sea told us that number when we went to book our next cruise) and were up about $100 total. However, the 33 hours of entertainment and camaraderie-PRICELESS

This is the amount that we usually set aside for our casino entertainment. My husband loves blackjack. . . if i ever need to find him; i know where to look for him at!;)

We usually bring about $1000 for gambling, but seldom play it all....we had such bad dealers (meaning the dealer couldn't seem to lose!) on our last cruise, that we simply stopped playing! If you NEVER even "push" on a 20, something's wrong!

I try to stick as close to the minimum ($5 or $6 on RCI blackjack) as possible, because I know that if I lose a lot the first day or two I will be upset and won't get the enjoyment out of the gambling that I should. I like to gamble a lot, but I am 3/3 on cruises in terms of being up money (clearly just jinxed it for the next one!) and the only way I enjoy myself is to go in for short periods of time and never sit for too long even when I'm winning.

You spend time in a casino. You spend money in a store. You win or lose in a casino. And you take a bankroll with you. My bankroll is $200 per day.

And I only gamble one day.

My budget usually fluctuates depending on the ship I go on. I know it sounds funny, but I will bring a larger budget for a smaller ship. Just a gambler's quirk.

Is that because you feel there are less other activities on the smaller ships?

Like most so far, we take a hundred each per day, I will be bringing an additional hundred a day for poker.

Anybody know if you can deposit money at the cage and draw from it like at a regular casino?

Actually, I am a lounger on vacation. Give me a good book, a shady spot and I am good. I have just had really good luck on each cruise I have been on...( knock on wood). I have always been able to pay for my next cruise with my winnings. Plus I have met some great people in the casino.

I HAVE WON BETTER ON CRUISES THAN IN VEGAS.

I usually bring about $500 extra to gamble with but the amount veries from day to day depending on what is going on and what happens on port. I have done fairly well at the casinos but never at Bingo. On one of the RC cruises out of Galveston I actually won about $600 on a slot that they put my picture up on the wall.

My next cruise out of Galveston was on the Grand Princess. (I think that was the name) and I had the best luck EVER!!! First night I played the wheel of Fortune game and on my fourth spin I won a $1000. (No pictures or lights or celebration on this cruise) Then I walked over and played poker with my friends. Won again. Next night played $40 and lost. Next Night won again but not big maybe $100. Next night nothing. So I figured I was on a roll every other night. So on the next night I went back to where I won the $1000 and I hit it again on the 2nd spin. All my friends, there were 8 lovely ladies, thought I was lying when I told them to come check it for themselves. But once again no lights or pictures I actually had a friend go search for a casino employee to come over to me, because I was not leaving my seat.

My cruise after that one. Nothing. So I am hoping my cruise next year will be awesome.

We budget around $100-$200 each per day, depending on the cruise. Sometimes we go over that limit, but then that means we have less to spend on a later day.

Overall I would have to say that we have "donated" more than we have received on past cruises.

Let's hope that all changes starting with our next trip :p.

My wife and I budget $20 each/day. We don't always spend it - some days we don't play very much; some days, we actually come out ahead. This last cruise, my wife came out $7 ahead for the 16-day cruise.

i find some contempt with boat slots. i loooove the quarter push though. the wife and i might spen 50 bucks one day. we dont really budget for casino on cruises. we go to reno regularly. plus i like a cigar while i'm playing and got shooed out last time. no clue why, cigs to me are FOUL, cigars have a much richer aroma softer and unusual.
