Laundry on Celebrity Transatlantic

Will be on ship 16 days. How can you do laundry? One ship ruined golf shirts when did the bag full. Seemed dryer was too hot. Any suggestions?

You have to send your things to the ship's laundry. No self-service laundromat on Celebrity. Hand washing or bringing enough clothes to wear are your only alternatives.

I always use ship laundry. I wear mostly cottons, linens.

They come back pressed and folded and nothing ever shrunk.

I also use dry cleaning for other more fragile items.

I just budget for this expense and great service on board.

Only way to do it yourself is to find a Laundromat in port somewhere. Those bags of laundry are really only meant to be used for socks, t-shirts, underwear and pj's. Anything that needs more careful laundering should be done by the piece - that's where you went wrong.

There is no laundromat on board any RC or Celebrity ship.

The "wash and fold" bag offered is meant for underware, socks, t-shirts, etc., not "better" clothing such as pants/golf shirts/blouses.

Prices on board for laundry and dry cleaning are cheaper than we pay at home here. Have been very satisfied.

Also wash some quick-dry items in the sink in the bathroom and hang in the shower. Be aware that not all ships have a line in the shower.

Is there something wrong with washing clothes out in the, admittedly small, sink, and hanging to dry on the retractable clothes lines in the shower? Just bring some laundry detergent and hand wash things every few days.

Not true on all Celebrity ships. Their S Class ships do not have a retractable clothes lines in the shower. So if the OP is on Reflection, Equinox, Eclipse or Silhouette there will be no clothes line.

OP, you just have to send out or hand wash.
