Taxis at barcelona port

We will be cruising on the NCL Spirit, departing Rome on 12 November 2017 and disembarking in Barcelona on 23 November 2017. We need to get from the port to a hotel in the city and would like to know whether there are sufficient taxi's at the port or whether we will have to wait a substantial time after having disembarked, for an available taxi. We waited to disembark because we were going to our hotel and not the airport, post-cruise - and we waited almost an hour in the hot sun. It was awful. There were taxis, lots of them, and the line was orderly and the dispatcher was competent. There were just a lot of people. I don't know if getting off the ship earlier would alleviate the wait.

We disembarked in Barcelona in May to go to the airport (the day British Airways computers died, but that's a whole other story) and there were ample taxis waiting.

There are plenty of taxi's but if you are not one of the first people to disembark it will take a long time . We waited almost an hour and a half after getting off the Freedom of the seas in May .

We have been in and out of Barcelona by air and ship... never had any problem getting a taxi at the port or airport... plentiful... small though, ref luggage.

We arranged transportation in June and we're glad we did. They were waiting when we exited the terminal at 9. It was over and hour to get a taxi we heard the from friends who didn't arrange transportation.

There are lots of taxis at the port so no worries.

We always opt for self disembarking to avoid the crowds. Just have to get up early. We arrived last year in Barcelona on a transatlantic cruise and there was a mass of taxis waiting in an organized fashion right outside the cruise port building. Took 5 min, but this was at 7 am before the "organized" disembarking commenced.
