We really like it here in West Texas - 41F right now (6 am) and it's supposed to get up to around 72.

We're originally from Michigan so I do know what you folks up north are going through. Not any fun at all.

We spent one winter in North Dakota. -35 with a -80 degree wind chill. And DH worked outdoors in the oil fields. We had to have a block heater installed on our car so we could plug it in at night or there was no way it would start in the morning. We spent 2 nights taking turns going out and starting the car every couple of hours to keep it warm until we could get into the garage.

It is seriously cold in Boston today. I went out to do some errands this morning and put most of them on hold and came home. Just too hard to breath this frigid air. Awful.

Stay safe all of you in the tundra areas of Canada/U.S. today and the coming days.

Sail ---- We sur picked a fine time to leave the northeast; it's around 90 F here today with a nice breeze. I'll try to write a review upon our return to the frigid north!
