RCCL Players Club

Does anyone know anything about it? There is no information on their site about it. On my last cruise a player at my craps table was getting free drinks like it was cool. He was playing some good money though. Their site says management may ask you to join based on play, so is it subjective or not? I thought nothing in the casino was subjective

Good question. I always used to see so many women w/their cards attached to lanyards hanging out of their slot machines. I dunno why, but I just figured they were using money off of their cards instead of cash to play the machines. After going to AC and LV for the 1st time, I realized they might have players cards.

Hi to you all. My husband is a member of the Club Royale Players Club. He was asked to join due to his blackjack play on Navigator of the Seas many years ago when they first started the players club. He (and I) have enjoyed free drinks in the casino and comped meals at the specialty restaurants. You can become a member by invitation only by the Casino Manager on your cruise. All depends on your table play. I hope this little bit of information will help you. If you check the gaming invitation, there is a link to Club Royale somewhere in there. That's it for now. Hugs, Marilyn

they track your play when you use your cruise card at the tables or machines. If you qualify they give you a VIP card and you drink free in the casino, and you are invited back for complimentary cruises

Ah so the high rollers and high losers get it, huh?

Here's the scoop:

Royal Caribbean now has Players Club, which offers qualifying players complimentary drinks in the casino, and based on play, invites some of its high rollers to expense-paid blackjack and slots tournaments.

RoyalCaribbeanVoyager.jpgRoyal Caribbean says that to qualify for cruise discounts, a player is expected to spend a minimum of two hours a day at the table, betting a minimum of $50 per hand at blackjack, $50 per roll at craps, and $25 per hand or spin at Caribbean stud poker, Let It Ride, or roulette. Slot comps are based on play at $5 per spin.

Members of the Player's Club are also able prior to their trip to arrange personal check-cashing privileges provided they have existing privileges at any U.S. land casino.

I played quite a bit on the Enchantment in 2008, on the last day I was approached by the casino manager wanting to take my pic and give me a invitation to the players club. On the letter it said to call this special number to book your next cruise so I did. They gave me $400 off of my next cruise I took in Jan 2009.

Thank you for joining us.

May I ask which casino games were you playing and what was your average bet?

  • 2 weeks later...

I can add to this....

While spending 11 days in the Med on Celebrity Solstice, Mike the casino mgr had me fill out a "players card" enrolling me in their "Blue Chip Club".

5 days after the cruise I recieved a "Blue Chip" card & letter advising that any future cruise(s) is Comped if I book within a year of the date of this letter.(ex Port charges & taxes). BTW, during the cruise we found on 2 separate occasions a bottle of Far Niente Chardonnay ($95 on the wine list) in the cabin, compliments of The Casino. I guess they want us back real soon !!!.

Believe it or not that trip I made some nice coin. Even to the extent I went to customer relations & gave them 2K to reduce the god awful amount that was accumulating on the seacard bill. :)

Absolutely!

All you have to do is contact the Ship you are sailing (Casino Mgmt)

and give them some general info on yourself, and have a Executive Casino Host as a reference available from a well respected Hotel/Casino.

You will get a welcome letter and goodies sent to your room when you arrive on the Ship.

Introduce yourself to the Mgr of the Casino, and you will receive full compd drinks for the trip.

I like this response, especialy the "Absolutely" part.

I would not be able to obtain a reference from a respected hotel/casino. I don't play in the local ones as they do not have craps. HOWEVER, a inquiry to RCCL customer service asking for contact names and information about getting involved in this may go a long way. Maybe I can still get one without a reference if "i play my cards, right." I'll send them a note to fish for information. Thanks for the idea!

What you need to do Yo, is to contact the specific Ship you are sailing.

And then talk to the person in charge.

Be sure to tell them your average bet and time spent. Pherhaps throw out a couple of Casinos names that do have craps. But just tell them you do not want to inconvenience your Host. Just add a little more icing to the cake if you know what I mean.

This can get you in the door, and at least a night or 2 of comps.

If you keep gambling the way you told them, for the rest of your trip you will be golden.

I have done this in the past on different crusie lines and RCCL.

Until I kind of like lets say, worn out my welcome. LOL..

Hey Primo,

I just sent a really NICE note to the general RCCL contact us site. I do not know how to get in touch with the specific ship as there is no phone number to the ship listed on the site. However, I am thinking my general inquiry should get me somewhere. I gave them very detailed information and hopefully they will either forward the information to the ship or simply give me the contact name and number of who you are advising me to contact. But my note did address what you recommended. (except the names of the hotels. I can give them names of the local gaming boats but don't know if that would carry any weight.) But, I did tell them other stuff that might. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I gave them reasons why I think I should be entitled to becoming a member prior to sailing. Hopefully, they will agree and help me out. That would be really cool of them.

Primo or anyone else.....

I found some more specific information. I expect to get directed to the following links in the response I receive from my general inquiry.

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/Credit_Request_Form.pdf

It was just as you said, you have to deal with a casino host/manager to get a membership.

Do you think they would simply offer me the membership by simply filling out the credit history request form and buying in for $5,000? Yeah, I plan on calling them but would not be able to provide them references from a major Las Vegas Hotel or anything like that. But, will show them I mean business. Or is this a waste of my time and a waste of a credit check pull?

3 ways to do things. The wrong way, the right way, and the way I do it!

Since you do not have the reference. Don't let a credit check scare you,

if you have very good credit score and the funds in your checking/savings to cover at least $3,000 over your established line ($5,000) do it!

Ok.....

The credit check does not scare me. I am more than okay with it as long as I am GUARANTEED to be a member of Casino Royale when I board the ship. I don't want to have them pull the credit (which is better than very good) and then give me some excuse how they have too many players on this cruise to give me Royal status or that I will be a member on my SECOND cruise with RCCL and it won't work on my upcoming cruise. I am not into playing games and nickel and diming with stuff like this. I am there to shoot craps. I will be there every night. Whether it be for a 10 minute session or a couple of hours per session. But there will be some definite play with red and green chips all over the table.

I now need to ask you the following.

My sailing date is not for a couple of months now. Do I do this credit check thing a week before sailing? Or do it now? The only thing is I don't want to lock my $8K in the account for 2 months. I probably would bring 5K in traveler's checks and not even right them the check anyway. If I do the credit check now and they see the funds in there now, is it a ONE time approval? Does the 8K have to stay there once they do the check? Or will they be monitoring it again prior to the cruise. If I did it nowI would like to simply leave the money in there until the credit check is completed and bring the traverlers checks and get my money that way? I just don't want 8K tied up for two months. Any suggestions?

I cant personaly give you a guarantee. Now if you want me to put a pound of sh#t in a box and write guarantee on it, I could.:)

They will not freeze your account. Just be sure you have the proper funds in there when they do verify that and your credit. And your good to go. You can withdrawl everything after that. You will only have to clear up all your markers before you leave the ship. ie: write a check.

Be sure the person you are going to talk to understands that you are a PLAYER! A ROLLER, Mr Big etc...Pump yourself up to them.

You might even get something (free drinks & a gift) without even opening a line. But, the line is not going to cost you anything. It is good to have anyway. So you use opening up the $5,000 line right before you hang up the phone. The line will just give you more HOPE not a GUARANTEE.

Don;t worry, you will be good.

I expect a Full Report about this!

Also, when do you leave and what Ship and destination are you??

I will give you a full report no doubt about it. I like how you are suggesting to go about it, but take a read of this. How do you interpret it? They way I see it it says to me:

1. You will not be pre-approved and given casino royal status until you start playing in the casino. We will merely watch you and see if you are good enough to qualify to be in the program.

This is from the links I provide. Would a casino manager override these guidelines and give you Royal status before you sale? I know you said absolutely, but these guidelines suggest otherwise. By the way, who has a Casino Host? They keep saying have your Casino Host contacted them to discuss your play? Who is my casino host? Will you be my wingman, primo? I don't get that one either. LOL!

Please note: Enrollment to Club Royale takes place on your Royal Caribbean cruise vacation and is based on actual casino play in Casino Royale, not on this web-site.

Guests already booked on a Royal Carribbean International cruise may not take advantage of the offer for an up-front cruise discount. However, if you will please provide us with your cruise reservation information, we will be happy to notify our casino staff that you will be sailing and request that you be rated. Based on your play onboard you may possibly qualify for a discount off of your next Royal Caribbean International cruise.
