Shoes

Recommended Posts

No. I've seen all types of athletic shoes worn inside the gym/fitness center on cruise ships. The only footwear I've seen NOT allowed were flipflops, sandals, and slippers...and of course bare feet. Happy sailing and have a great workout. :)

There are no regulations of type of footwear and I've seen older people in loafers walking on the TM. However I would suggest wearing what you normally wear and they don't have to be clean as a whistle (no mud or anything).

This will vary by cruise line. Not the cleanliness but using the facilities.

Trust me, you'll see everything and anything in the fitness center on a cruise ship. Actually, pretty shocking, it's as if these people have never been in a health club before. Whether the staff enforce the "shoe policy" or not is another story.
