I sailed the Jubilee in 1988 with my family. First cruise and I didn't cruise again until 2009
 as life got in the way! Next week we are headed out on a cruise with my family again (minus my Dad who passed in 2005) it is our first family vacation since the Jubilee 25 years ago. This time our family is bigger, our spouses and the next generation sail with us...my kids, my nieces and nephew. Obviously we won't be on the Jubilee but the Freedom. Sure wish my Dad would be joining us but we will have lots of fun!

We, too, sailed on the Jubilee in 1988. It was also our first cruise.....it was a treat to ourselves after moving from Indianapolis to Baton Rouge in May of 1987 and then moving back to Indianapolis in October of 1987. And then moving into a house in December of 1987. We deserved it after 3 moves in 8 months! And we've loved it ever since and so do our kids. This was back in the day when you could actually smoke in the dining rooms....my, how things have changed! At the time, the Jubilee did not feel small at all. I remember getting off the ship and not being able to walk straight for an hour or so...weaving down the sidewalks...funny now.....we are leaving on the Dream next month

I loved the Jubilee! It was my very first cruise in 1996 for my honeymoon. That shipped seemed ginormous to me at the time, lol. We met so many great people on that cruise - tons of fellow honeymooners like us that we stayed in contact with for a little while after the cruise.
I loved seeing people in the casino at night and then running into them on the pool deck and making plans to meet up again the next night. It had such a close knit family feel to it. I was hooked on cruising from that first cruise but life and kids got in the way for a few years and we didn't do our next cruise until 15 years later and now we include my parents and our two kids. The Jubilee will always be my favorite cruise of all time!
