Travel in Jan or Feb

So I'm starting to dream of a cruise that stops in Egypt and we recently got an add for Costa that has sailings in Jan and Feb. It never occurred to me to cruise the Med at this time of year--so I'm wondering, has anyone been to Egypt (and Turkey) at this time?

What is the weather like? Is it really not crowded? Is this an insane idea--even with airfare these cruises are in the Caribbean price range.

Just want to know if I'm crazy for even considering this for next year, my original idea was late September or October.

We were in Cairo and Alexandria last March. Temperatures were around 70 in the afternoon.

Luxor was in the 80's and Aswan was mid 90's.
