Anyone tried Maui Beach Hotel $5 overnight parking/Safe walk?

I emailed the hotel and this is what they said:

Our parking is available for registered guest staying at the hotel at a fee. I wouldn’t suggest walking from here to the cruise ship at 3am in the morning for safety reasons.

We are on the Feb 11th POA trip and I contacted cb maui taxi to see about getting a cab from the ship to the airport parking area at @3:30 am for the morning sunrise at Haleaka on 2/13/17. I'd hoped to park overnight and was told they can't accomodate me because they are booked up at that time of the morning. This has become a very frustrating ordeal

We hired a car from Hertz in the Maui Beach hotel for the time we were in port on Maui just recently. We parked the rental in the hotel lot overnight (we were not charged) as we wanted an early start the following day. We walked from the ship to the car, leaving the ship just before 6:00am. We felt safe; most of the walk is along a busy highway.
