Royal Carribean Austrailian Cruise Tour?

Recommended Posts

DW and I are considering a cruise tour before a two week cruise on Rhapsody departing 22 January, 2011. The cruise has no Austrailian ports other than Sidney. RCI had a 5 day cruise tour option that seems to hit the highpoints, but I can not find any reviews or comments. Has anyone done this? How was it? Also, is there a chance the cruise tour will be cancelled if RCI fails to get enough participation?

Happened to some friends of ours last year. They were the only ones who had booked the cruise tour, prior to their tour.

You might check Trafalgar's Australia brochure for their free and easy itineraries. We are doing an 8 day tasmania cruise in February, but booked the Sydney and GBR tour, 7 days prior. I think Globus might have some too.

Good luck

Two things to consider -

January is our major school holidays

January is hot and humid and cyclone season, if you are considering travelling north (Queensland). It is swimming and beach weather.

Assuming you are cruising to NZ, the weather should be lovely there.
