Default Renewing wedding vows

We just renewed our wedding vows on Victory. We had a total of 10 people, including us. It cost $408 for the service and room(piano bar) and cake and champagne toast(7 up for 2 kids), one 8x10 picture(interesting-if we wanted more 8x10s, it was $29.99 each-but the regular 8x10s are $21.99-luckily we had friends also photograph and video on the ceremony). We were given one hour in the room, the Italian speaking captain did the ceremony, so hard to understand when we were repeating vows. My friends did it on HAL and for less than $150, got all we did plus a dinner in their speciality restaurant.
That all being said, even though I may sound unhappy about what Carnival offered/did, I am not unhappy about the ceremony. It was the
most romantic time ever and I could not be any happier!! It is about what
my husband and I said and shared and about what our friends also shared with it. They even said it was one of the best parts of their cruise also.
With a change in the CC boards(I am computer impaired), I am not sure how to get to the part on CC to post this, but wanted anyone who is thinking about renewing their vows to go for it!! It is a beautiful time to share with the most important person in your life.

Congratulations. I would love to do that, but since dh and i always travel alone, I can't see how it would work very well.

We thought about doing that for my parents on their upcoming 50th anniversary cruise, but the price seems so prohibitive. There will be 12 including my parents on the Dream in July.

You can always do it on your own. Talk to the events person when you get on board and have your parents or their Children write sentiments they want to say to each other. Go to an empty bar and have the toasts, you can order cake from the ship (for a price) so why not just all go dinner together and celebrate that way. No costs involved at all. Just make sure you let your group know when and where to meet.
