Hell no NCL

Well, NCL have amended my booking without speaking to me or discussing options. 11th Oct sailing has changed to 18th Oct £400 dearer - I think not. And the room is on the opposite side from my original booking - no longer on the land....maybe a human will listen to my rants tomorrow. Grrrrrrr

You're talking about the Epic, right? They've extended the drydock, so there won't be an Oct 11 cruise. It sucks, but sometimes that's how it goes. :(

Here's another thread on this topic. It might help you get an idea of what sort of compensation you could ask for. Good luck!

If you are on the cruise that I think you are on, you are going to be out of luck because the ship is staying in drydock an extra week. If that is not the voyage that I am thinking of, then let them have it.

I booked a cruise on Disney right after drydock and they waited until 3 freaking days before we were due to go and cancelled it. No way will I ever book after a drydock again. Im sorry they moved you. I would try and roll with the punches though. It's better than having it cancelled. :(

Hi Wee Blonde, please can I ask how you know that your cabin has changed. We had not received any email or letter and I cannot access my Ncl account. Today I had to send my Pcc an email to ask where the info was, so she forwarded the letter to me from Ncl. All it states is that the cruise has been moved to the 18th October and the offer of $50 OBC.

I don't know what "no longer on the land" means? Explain please.

I had beeb checking my online account since I'd seen the postings on cc. For a few days it was unchanged then I coucouldn't access it but last night complete access with a date change, increase in price and a cabin on the starboard side instead of portside. So coming down from Southampton, past coasts of Portugal and Spain, it's no longer the landside as my pcc gushed about when making my booking

You do realize that when you are at sea, you cannot see the land from the ship. In order for the casinos and on board shops to open when at sea, the ships need to be at least 12 nautical miles from shore - can't really see anything from that distance.

I understand your frustration, but I don't know what you think NCL can do. If the ship is due for dry dock and the dry dock is extended there is nothing more that can be said. It is better to have the job completed than to sail without having it finished. I just hope this isn't going to create a horrible problem for you.

I wouldn't be so annoyed if NCL were keeping me informed. So far they have not been in touch. It's been me emailing all the time. And as for trying to phone them? No joy. I realise that dry dock has to happen but communication is important. Disgraceful when u learn about it through a forum

I could see them having clauses in the contract that allow them to change the dates of the trip and the itinerary. What I can't see them having, or at least being upheld by any court is a clause that allows them to raise the price for those that they rebook on a later itinerary. That's ridiculous and I hope a computer glitch. If that happenned to me I would certainly no longer give NCL my business.

If you hadn't been on a cruise forum, you wouldn't know of this new change, you'd be thankful you were notified many months in advance by them. This change is very recent.
