Default Review of 4-day Ensenada on Carnival Ecstasy

We went on Carnival Ecstasy for a Spring Break cruise the last week of March, 2012. Here is our review with photos:

Let me know if you have any questions about ports or the ship!

If you went 2 months ago, then you went on the Inspiration, not the Ecstasy.

Nice review.

Nice review.
The Inspiration was also docked at Long Beach when we arrived, but we departed on the Ecstasy.

There is only 1 pier in Long Beach.

FYI - The Ecstasy sails out of Port Canaveral (Orlando) to the Bahamas. I checked the Ecstasy Roll Call board for the month of March and they all went to the Bahamas.

Please double check your cruise documents. I am positive it will say the Inspiration.

Pat
The Ecstasy is a Fantasy Class ship. Same as the Inspiration, Paradise, Elation.

Thumbs up Carnival Ecstasy - Our anniversary in the OWNER'S SUITE!!!

Last year we had a visit from the Carnival "upsell fairy" who gave me an offer I couldn't refuse.

A Carnival representative called me a couple of days before our cruise and asked me if I wanted to have one of their two Owner's Suites instead of the extended balcony grand suite that I had reserved. Since the cruise was to celebrate our anniversary, I said YES

I didn't know they were there even though we had sailed on the Ecstasy once before. The size is enormous...916 sq. ft. and the balcony has 110 sq. ft. Needless to say, it was an unforgettable cruise! Too bad the Ecstasy was moved to Port Canaveral last year. It's a very nice ship.

My wife took a lot of pictures and posted them on her website. You'll see a picture of me from time to time. I'm the one with the big smile. A link is below.

We got the comparable cabin on the Inspiration last month and is was great! Your pictures show a nicer decor though...
We were upsold from an oceanview to the PH-1 so it was a pretty good deal!
I would do it again if offered. Thank you for your pictures!

LAdad,

Glad to hear you had a similar experience on the Inspiration. It be great if Carnival had Owner's Suites on all of their ships and made them available as a choice along with all their stateroom selections.

I would book one in a heartbeat!

Thanks for the compliment about the pictures. Actually my wife is the shutterbug in our family and takes pictures everytime we go on a cruise. She posts them on her website http://nancysoasis.com/

Next up . . . Alaska! Can't wait!

Thanks for the review. We're doing B2B on the Inspiration in August. Are you sure it was Ecstacy? I thought Ecstacy sailed out of Port Canaveral.

We did the four-day in 1997 aboard the Holiday and I'm looking forward to doing teh same itinerary again. It'll be a mother-daughter cruise for us as well.
