Default about to go on the balmoral

WE are about to fly to Bangkok next week to cruise back to Southampton 39 day's. we have been on quite a few cruises before but not one as long as this.
Our past cruises are 4 trips on ocean village, I on island star,1 on Ventura and I on the Azura
My question is what money should we take and if we change money on board will we use cash or our cruise card..

Welcome to Cruise Critic. Never heard of the balmoral but they should be able to advise you on what money to take. Thrity nine days is a long time, sure hope the balmoral has some pleasant things to do every day. Have a great cruise.

It's not a good idea to change money on board, as the exchange rate is usually poor- look for a cash machine on shore. if it's a small amount, just for coffees, then I don't suppose that will trouble you....try asking on the Fred Olsen page, in the cruise line index, for others who've changed money, as to whether they will take it from your sea card.
It sounds a great cruise- Balmoral was my sister's first cruise ship, and now she's an addict!
