Raiatea

Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do in Raiatea if you don't want to do a Princess excursion? Thanks! We sail on 10/1 :)

We are doing Bruno's trip...it looks great, and we have heard nothing but amazing things about it!

there are lots of tour operators inside the visitor's center at the dock. you can take a boat to a motu for the day, go on a 4X4, visit pearl and vanilla farms, snorkel, you name it. much more affordable than Princess too.

I've heard great things about Bruno's tour. Also, as said below, there are lots of tour operators at the dock. I've heard some good things about the tours of the Faaroa river. Some also take you to a Pearl and Vanilla farm as well as stop to snorkel, and most are a lot less expensive than most Princess tours. Last but not least, renting a motorboat and going to one of the motu's sounds pretty good as well. I've heard there are 3 motus ( MOTU NAO NAO, MOTU TAUTAU OR MOTU TEHUTU) that are all nice to go to and snorkel. Hope that helps.
