Coves with no lifeboat

Has anyone had experience with one in the rain? I see some cruisers who have had coves with the lifeboats say they like having the shelter in rain so I wonder am I likely to get wet in rain without the lifeboat?

Sorry, but I have no idea what you're asking.

What are "coves" and what do they have to do with a lifeboat?

On our last cruise, we had a cove balcony on the Breeze, and no lifeboat directly overhead. We had perfect weather and no rain, so I can't comment on that. However, on a couple of mornings, a cleaning crew hosed down the sides of the ship. I quickly learned not to leave anything out on the balcony, such as tennis shoes, beach towel hanging over the back of a chair, etc. Otherwise, things may get a little wet. Also, it's a good idea to pull the chairs on the balcony all the way back against the wall (at night) so they won't get wet. ;)
