London airport transfer

We will be cruising the Adriatic & Greek Isles next month. Our flight home from Venice includes a layover in London.

The problem is that the flight from Venice lands at Gatwick, but the flight to NYC leaves from Heathrow. We have plenty of time to make the transfer, but I'm wondering which is the best way - express bus, train, taxi or private car.

It may depend on YOUR definition of "best".

WE will be taking the bus.

Agreed, I'd use the NE coach...just remember to get off at the correct terminal at LHR!!

The flight was part of a 1 day sale by American Airlines ($480pp RT from JFK). The cost to change the flight would be almost half of the original fare & almost 4 times the coast of the express bus.
